Chinook Area H&I Sub-Committee Guidelines
Primary Purpose
The ultimate purpose of the Chinook Area H&I sub-committee is to get our message of
recovery to any addict whose attendance at regular NA meetings may be restricted. 
The H&I sub-committee plays a central role in the overall service effort. It initiates,
co-ordinates, and conducts all H&I meetings and activities within the area. The
sub-committee is the hub of H&I planning and organization.The area H&I committee is a
sub-committee of the area service committee (ASC). It meets regularly on the first Saturday
of each month (with the exception of holiday weekends).  It’s chair reports to and is accountable
to the ASC.  The sub-committee is composed of a chairperson, vice-chairperson, and
secretary, elected representatives as well as any other members who wish to be involved.

"Hospitals and Institution subcommittees conduct panels that carry the NA message to addicts who often have no other way of hearing our message...The amount of work your local H&I subcommittee does will depend on a variety of factors: the number of treatment and correctional facilities in your area, the number of NA members in your area who are interested in H&I service, and the amount of collective experience in H&I work in your NA community."
